Antiochos II Theos, 261-246 BC. AE 16mm (3.34g). Antiocheia ad Orontes mint. Diademed head of Antiochos right / ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ, naked Apollo sitting left on omphalos, leaning on lyre, holding arrow; EY monogram to left.
SC 572; Newell, WSM 967; SNG Israel 339.
gVF, choice even dark green patina - coin is much nicer in hand than the picture would make it appear.
Interesting portrait and rare EY monogram. Also, an unusual variation with a lyre on which Apollo rests (very clear on the coin) - typically he holds a bow.
